when i was in church this morning,we sang a song titled"it is well with my soul".

now i love the church hymns and ive sang them for years and years but today i really heard the words to this song...a few lines go like this...."when peace like a river attendeth my way,when sorrow like sea billows roar,what ever my lot, thou has taught me to say. it is well,it is well with my soul." wow.how awsome is that???

we also sang "trust and obey"..most anyone who has been in a baptist church has heard of this song..but as before,i heard the words to it today deep inside my being........"trust and obey, for theres no other way. to be happy in jesus,but to trust and obey!! thats about enough to make a fella (or gal) shout!!

fanny crosby wrote many many of the church hymns,not only baptist hymnal songs but a vast majority of christian music in her era. she was a petite  lady,blind almost since birth and a very dedicated christian lady..she lived in poverty to help others and could have ben a very rich lady if she chose to do so...but,i guess she trusted and obeyed and was indeed blessed by her lord!

i know as god promised her,when she passed fom this earth,he greeted her with words such as this.well done my good and faithful servant!
