I have opened the door so I must define myself.

On a national level it is hard to put a label on myself as I have been and still am a FENCE SITTER.
I Have strong feelings about areas that are National in scope like the Interstate HWY system, major waterways, a standing military, Medicare and Social Security staying under NATIONAL CONTROL.
I would like to see National Standards set for education, healthcare, law enforcement, and National funding provide to be sure they are available to all.
National regulatory groups like the IRS, FED,SEC, Health & Welfare need to be almost redone from the ground up.
I would like to see business controls that allow for a level playing field in the business world.
I would like to see a major shift in each of our national and global attitudes when it come to tolerance toward others.

On the state and local level I am like a Hybrid of Jeffersonian democracy

I think in a Metro setting most services should be provided at a county level.  Things like a County Heath care system providing basic healthcare at a minimal fee.
Local road systems should be  built and maintained under county control.  911 systems should be control and funded by the county.
Major Park systems, airports,  Hwy law enforcement, social services, airports, water ways, sanitary sewage systems, public recreation like hunting and fishing areas are best provided at the county level.


I find that cities, villages  and townships provide us with many expensive, duplicate and sub par services that are better provided at the county level and drive people out of the cities because of higher tax rates to support them.

The State should provide for funding for a fair and equal education system in support of the local school systems both public and private if needed.
Higher public education systems should be managed and funded at the state level.  The states need to develop a better technical education system for people going into the trades given that very few are at this time.
The States should provided for healthcare standards and funding like Medicare, Medicaid  and aid to uncovered children and adults that are unable to  provide for themselves.
The State should govern over issue that state wide in scope.  They should be in charge of intrastate highways, railways and waterways and insure there are safe and in a high level of repair.  They need to greatly improve our aging flood control systems, locks and dams. They need to ensure that state income and property tax laws do not drive business out of our country.
The States need to take better control of regulating our utilities to ensure that they are providing healthy, and an adequate power grid at fair prices.



On the Constitution I agree with Thomas Jefferson
The United States Constitution was written in order to ensure the freedom of the people. A strict view of how the constitution was written is kept. However, "no society can make a perpetual constitution or even a perpetual law. The earth belongs always to the living generation." <sup>[11 ]

On religion I believe in:

• The wall of separation between church and state is the best method to keep religion free from intervention by the federal government, government free of religious disputes, politics free from influence by religion and religion free from corruption by government. ^[6]   T Jefferson

• I do not agree with all religions but I defended your right to your beliefs, but do not try to impose them on me or my family!

At times I will play the devil's advocate  to try to get more people to open up.

The silent majority is still to large of a group of people in our country.

In my review of some of the post I see that this group stays in contact with Congress witch I think is imperative these days.

I also find that the posts in most of these groups can be very lengthy.  I am more to the point than most.

I feel that compromise is very important in a true Democracy.

Profiles in Courage is a 1955 Pulitzer Prize-winning book by John F. Kennedy, describing acts of bravery and integrity by eight United States Senators from throughout the Senate's history. The profiled senators crossed party lines and/or defied the public opinion of their constituents to do what they felt was right and suffered severe criticism and losses in popularity because of their actions. The book was widely celebrated and became a best seller, but there have been allegations that most of it was the work of his speechwriter, Theodore Sorenson.

Note:  My point is about the eight that took a stand.  Not about who wrote the book.

The Republican Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States, along with the Democratic Party. It is often called the Grand Old Party or the GOP. Founded in Ripon, Wisconsin, in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers, the Republican Party quickly surpassed the Whig Party as the principal opposition to the Democratic Party. It first came to power in 1860 with the election of Abraham Lincoln to the presidency and presided over the American Civil War and Reconstruction. Today, the party supports a conservative and/or center-right platform, with further foundations in supply-side fiscal policies and social conservatism.

The Republican Party is currently the second largest party with 55 million registered voters as of 2004, encompassing roughly one-third of the electorate. ^[1] There have been nineteen Republican Presidents. Republicans currently fill a minority of seats in both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, hold a minority of state governorships, and control a minority of state legislatures.

Supply-side economics is a school of macroeconomic thought that argues that economic growth can be most effectively created using incentives for people to produce (supply) goods and services, such as adjusting income tax and capital gains tax rates, and by allowing greater flexibility by reducing regulation. The term supply-side economics was coined by journalist Jude Wanniski in 1975, and popularized the ideas of economists Robert Mundell and Arthur Laffer. Today, supply-side economics is often conflated with the politically rhetorical term "trickle-down economics."^[1]

The typical policy recommendation of supply-side economics is to achieve the proper level of marginal tax rates, which, by virtue of the high rate of taxes in general, equates with cutting of taxes.^[2] Maximum benefits are achieved by optimizing the marginal tax rates of those with high incomes and capital investments who are deemed most likely to increase supply and thus spur growth.^[3] Keynesian macroeconomics, by contrast, contends that tax cuts should be used to increase demand, not supply, and thus should be targeted at cash-strapped, lower-income earners, who are more likely to spend additional income.^[4][5]

Many early proponents argued that the size of the economic growth would be significant enough that the increased government revenue from a faster growing economy would be sufficient to compensate completely for the short-term costs of a tax cut, and that tax cuts could, in fact, cause overall revenue to increase.^[6]
