Hi Deb, Wow! Great photo! How many quartes did you can? Did you grow all the food?Do you do this for fun or out of necessity? I have canned before, but it was years ago. Picked the fruit then loved to can it. Really just did fruit, cherry's, pears, applesauce, peaches jams and pickles. I won a blue ribbon for my canned cherries at the local County Fair! That was exciting. I was so surprised, out of 15 canned cherry's and I won! If you want to know the secret to the perfect Blue Ribbon canned cherry's, I will tell you. My kids are all grown now and I don't can anymore but loved it when I did. It is a joy and very theraputic.
