Hi,
How is it going? My computer crashed, well, my dog crashed by trying to help me do a newletter...took a bit to get it back. I lost some info and two days worth of correspondence. I remember nost of you post. I am glad you asked to be a friend. Can use all the friends I can get. I still haven't figured that part out on the site, but I may get brave.
Trying to make up for the lost time, but that never happens. Not only am I trying to get back to speed on the puter, but the house is in chaos. I am remodeling and trying to sort out almost 10 years of acummulated treasures! Some have to go! Hard to choose. Everything is a memory! We moved in here 10 years ago and I can't believe all the junk I've got. I swore when we packed up to move here I would never collect stuff again. We moved from a 5 bedroom Victorian and I got rid of everything, I thought! Well, I think I managed to collect it all back and this is a 2 bedroom, 1483 sq.ft home and I am at a loss as to where I ever got it all! Like I said, all memories.
Keep in touch, have a great weekend as well! I think mine will be spent in the closets and garage. I am determined to once again declutter!

Hi Mary Pat:
Haven't heard from you so hope all is well. I'm doing okay. I'm still trying to figure out this site. I just found out how to create a "friends" list. I am going to check into Groups too.
Take care and hope to hear from you. Until then, take care and God bless.

I am so sorry for not responding sooner. It's been an awful summer. My daughter had an accident and I needed to go take care of her and my grandson. She has awful luck! They are fine now and thank God, my best buds and I are home. My Maggie is the sweetest thing, and she's the Pitt! Karl is the 'who done it and run' and thinks he has to protect us...You've seen pictures on my site of all the above characters! I am fine, but now have to really catch up with the house. My son was here and turned it into a bachelor pad...big mistake. I'll be much better at keeping in touch! Thanks for caring

Hi again Mary Pat:
Thank you for responding - it was nice to hear from you. My name is Violet and I live in Cleveland, OH. Strongsville is only about 1/2 hr. away from where I live. Small world.
I know you talk about your Best Buddies, I lost mine a little over 2 yrs. ago. My Golden Retriever (SPUD). I had him for 10 yrs. and his passing almost killed ME....I can still cry - I had him cremated and my daughter knows that when "I" pass, I am to be cremated and Spuds ashes are to go with me. Crazy huh? I was sooooo devasted at losing him, he got me through sooo much (sometimes my life has been a soap opera)- the death of my Mom, my brother, my best friend, another dear friend...etc. etc. He was MY world!!
So now I have my dear little "Maggie" dog - no one will ever replace Spud, but she's a real sweetie - not too much on Doggie Kisses but she is coming around.
I have come to realize that "time" really does heal - sure my losses still hurt but it's easier to accept. I am sorry to hear about you losing your husband, but heh, now you have a new friend -ME...LOL I hope I at least made you smile (?)

I have this nast habit - it's called SMOKING so I am going to go down and have my afternoon cig at work.
Please keep in touch - and thank you so much for "caring" - that is so kind of you. If I don't get in touch with you before the end of today - I will check in on Monday (remember, no computer at home). Have a wonderful, safe weekend. Take care and God bless my new friend.

Hi....I'm a Newbie to this site - just signed on yesterday so have no pix to offer at this time.
Anyway, the reason your profile caught my eye is 2 things = your dog, Maggie and your Birthday.
I recently got a rescue dog and HER name is Maggie (although she is a small Spitz - 20 pounds, all white and Lovable) and your Birthday is my Brother's birthday (he passed about 8 yrs. ago)

I live in Ohio but my daughter and granddaugher are in Florida (Daytona Beach). I was there recently for Ashley's 8th birthday (July). I've been in Cleveland all my life so I guess you can say I am "seasoned" for the Cold Winter months. I may be seasoned but I still "hate" it....but what is Christmas without snow huh?

Sorry, I'm rambling. I hope to make some new friends on this site. I do NOT have a computer at home so I am writing to you from work on my lunch hour.
Have a great weekend and maybe keep in touch.

There is no rambling...thank you for sharing.
My brother in law lives in strongville? I am pretty sure that's near the Canadian border. He is the only member of my late husbands family I speak to.
I am close to my family and dogs are R thing!
My niece is stationed in Jacksonville and I am in Englewood, which is just souht of Venice.
I would rather be North because FL is stuffy, nasty hot.
Lots to the story and I would be glad to share.
Now, Maggie...she's my life, my savior and best bud. End of story, but I will chew yur ear off if you let me with all her wonderous adventures.
As for the best birthday in the world, you can't ask for anything better than April 11.
I am so sorry about your loss. I don't know what I would do if I had to face the loss of a sibling. Loosing my husband took me 4 years to start to rebound from. That was pain enough. I will remember you in my nightly rosary [it's a Catholic thing] but know it means I care.
Please keep in touch and know that I care.
