Still haven't found employment.  In my first journal, don't know what I was thinking - not doing too well at that lately - I said I was denied "worker's" compensation. I haven't been injured - what I wanted to say was "unemployment" compensation.  That means I'll have to be on welfare to exist here pretty soon I guess, 'cause - ain't no money comin' in, Honey.

They fired me for "misconduct", which is about the only reason for which they can deny you unemployment.  I can't get over any company in these times doing such a vicious thing, but here I am.

Sorry for your tragic situation Crash. There are some low level positions out there, and even they have great competion from both the qualified and over qualified. Have you considered self-emplyment? With what little resources that the SBA currently has, they are emphasizing projects by women. You have a small house. Can you run a business from it? Can you share it with someone in order to better cover expenses? The Sarasota County Economic Development Corporation and SCORE have programs about starting a business, writing a business plan, etc. You mentioned workers compensation, have you been injured? Do you have any disability? If so, have you considered services from Florida's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation? Try ot keep your spirits up as best you can. .....Van....

Thank you for your suggestions - I meant to say "unemployment" compensation - almost wish I were disabled in some way now. Time is not on my side, which I believe I would need to start up any business whatsoever. Right now I am on hold as I am in Jacksonville visiting my 82 yr old Mom-I so needed to see her. Can't get back home until next Friday.
I am trying to hold my head up - thank you so much!
