Life in the Fast Lane...Sort of

Good morning world!  Another day in wonderland awaits me.  The temperature is cool but it feels good!  My world is not doing really well right now financially or physically but I am hoping for the best!  God has promised to fulfill all my needs according to His riches in glory....I’m just awaiting my turn!

Today is Monday, March 24th, 2008. It is beginning to look like spring! Yesterday it snowed on Easter Sunday and my dear friend "Granma Alice" passed away. She was 96 years old and quite a caution. I loved her very much and I know I will see her again. She used to tell me often "Paula, if it doesn't have any eternal ramifications....don't worry about it." Well, that is the way I look at things too, now. But there was a time when I didn't. The little poem below might let you see a piece of me I kind of keep hidden most of the time. Don't let life pass you by! Remember what is truly important is family and friends, not the kind of car you drive or what size your bank account is.

God bless you for visiting my page.
Paula

What really counts, by PJColvin

If I had known when I was young
How things in life would be
I know I would have changed a bit
If only I had seen

If I had known when I was young
That "things" don't count for much
Perhaps I would have loved lots more
And not drawn back from touch

If I had known when I was young
That life was flying by
I would have shared more laughter
And gazed more at the sky

If I had know when I was young
How quickly death arrives
I would have held my loved ones more
And cherished every sigh

But alas when I was oh so young
These things didn't matter to me
So words weren't said, and hugs weren't given
The way they ought to be

BTW, I just looked down at the places you've lived. WOW, I lived in Bradenton, Sarasota and on Anna Maria too. What a small, small world. And Loveland is not that far from Lakewood, either. Seems like our paths have been a bit parallel at times perhaps. How neat. Do write and tell me about your life in Florida and elsewhere.

Once again,
Jeannie

Hi Coloradogranma: Wow, sound like you could use so prayers and uplifting. Those rough times (I have experienced both personally, so I know) are the times when we find out what we are made of and how strong our faith truly is. Remember, when we don't see those footprints, we are being carried.
Your turn will come, but if you need to vent or some empathetic support, write to me and I will be here to hear. vjm78676@hotmail.com
