Just read your journal entry on Friends and our influence on each other. Lots of truth there. Thanks for sharing. How much better to be an inspiration and encouragement to others than to be negative and a bad influence. I sometimes tend to be negative, to see the downside before I see the upside, and I know I'm easily influenced by others who are negative. But on the other hand, being around others who are positive helps me to be more positive too.

Thanks for the encouragement. Fortunately, I am in very good health other wise. I enjoy walking, and now that the weather is finally getting warmer here in the northeast, I've started walking again. When I lost wt last time, I walked 3 to 4 miles almost every day. Wow! Great job on the weight loss. I'm trying to lose wt. too. I lost about 40 lbs about 5 yrs ago but gained it back when my whole work scedule changed and threw me off track. Working to get back on track this spring.

I tried, regressed and then succeeded but it took a few years. Be patient with yourself. Think about the future you want for yourself. Medical issues can loom large (not to mention medical expenses). Those insights will give you courage when you might otherwise give up. Remember, there are only two rules to fitness: (1) Begin and (2) Continue.

Best.
