I often have special thoughts about some of my images. Here are my thoughts about the web image. It can also be seen on my blog as well as many other thoughts I have on nature and life in general. Drop in some time.! http://exploringnature.blogspot.com/ I am a member of AARP. Yes, I am a senior citizen. I have this image on my site there and it has proven to be a very popular image. I can see why and I feel lucky to have captured it. While I have seen many spiderwebs over the years, it is not easy to capture one in these circumstances.
Our lives are like a web. As we go through life we pick up new friends, talents, good and bad habits as well as attitudes. They all intertwine and affect each other. Some lives seem to shine and glisten like this web, but is it true or just external glitter? A real person does not have any need for external glitter. Their true value is an integral part of them.
How we treat nature, how we treat other people, is determined by this inner part of our being and how we feel about ourselves. It can also be determined by how we think we should react... This is where we run into difficulty.
"To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." William Shakespeare
Thank you both. Everything was just right. I have taken web shots before and no luck. The colorful flowers in the background, just dress the whole image up. I actually used this as part of a Christmas card. The web was the garland. Barbara
as many webs as I have seen in life I must admit I have never observed one quite like this, so detailed and the dew so moistly leaping up from the picture
