Mr. Bobskladany,
The reason I am writing you is because I have tried to get work from the AARP office in Miami Lakes, FL The last past two years and have been unable to. I have been told that you all are only hiring new peoples. You see I was hired at one time and I had to leave because I had to have surguery. Then I got hired back and my son went into business and ask me to come and help him out and I did. Then he move to Ala. and left me in the cold. How long do I have to be on the black list before I can get re-hired? I need a job real bad can you help me please? I have bill and 20 hrs a week would be of great help to me. I will not leave again unless it is medical. My name is Mae Evans, PO BOX 421263, Miami, FL 33242 Phone# 786-223-1665. e-mail address is evansmae@hotmail. com Thankings you in advance . Need your help. I am a black woman my age is 69 and that make it very hard for me to get work. I need work right away can you help me. I was told by one of the center on the net to get in touch with you because you could help here hoping that you can thank again.

I need to check your site out. Same age; lots of good job experience; had to work most of my life; currently working "telecommuting" for the largest technology company in the world who is laying of thousands and forcing others to move to other offices in other states. Finding someone who appreciates a REALLY savvy telecommuter, knowledgeable in not only the web, but lots of different software, con calls, etc., etc. would be nice......

Punky1965,
Regrettably, the high-technology sector is not very welcoming of older workers. RetirementJobs.com has few IT, software and technology jobs posted. I encourage you to hold on to your current telecommuting job if you're able. As you probably know, a new employer may require a period of demonstrated work before allowing you to telecommute. I would encourage you to post your resume at RetirementJobs.com and specialty job boards such as Dice. You can also explore the IT divisions of staffing firms such as Robert Half, Manpower, and Kelly. They may be able to introduce you to contract and temporary openings. Be well. Bob
