It's extremely humbling when the child you raised, missed something in the rearing of themselves. I used to blame myself, but many have told me directly, "Don't even think about blaming yourself, you were a wonderful mother that sacrificed, supported in everyway and was there every step teaching them and loving them." My son, is completely different and just stepped up to the plate to help me with the children. He completely gave up life as he knew it and made the children his first priority and responsibility. It's amazing how you raise your children and they can internally be so different. But, it's especially hard when it's your daughter that is self-centered and doesn't have the basic instincts that a dog has for her puppies.
