About Me

I am a single mom on disability, with one child still at home. My three daughters are all grown and living away from home now (my oldest is married and living in N. Carolina, my middle daughter is in college, and my youngest daughter lives in Indiana with her 2 year old son). My son is almost 11, so he will be with me a few more years.

Interests:
Reading, watching movies, crossword puzzles, talking to family and friends online, and cross stitch when my eyes allow it (HaHa)

I'll bet it wasn't that cold in New England. Brrrrrrrrrr. I can't imagine how that must have felt. We got down to freezing and it stayed all day and next night and we lost a lot of shrubs and trees and plants. That was in 1992 and we still can't get over it.
Don't you just marvel at the amount of interesting things one can find on the internet? I typed in a product in the Google page and got the most interesting information about it. My cousin does our genealogy on his computer and sends me reports once in a while. Lots to do and not near enough time to do it all.
I'm going into the hospital for hip surgery Friday and I don't know what to take with me. The clothes on my back is all they recommend but I want a comb, toothbrush and mayby a robe and slippers. Any suggestions? I'll take a book, of course, even if I can't read it like I'd like

LOL. Believe it or not, it really didn't FEEL that cold!
Probably because there was no wind.....
Yes, there are TONS of things on the internet! And not
enough hours in the day to look at all of it.....
Not sure what to suggest as far as what to take with you
to the hospital.... if it was me, I would probably take a book,
and my crossword puzzles and a pen of course....
it all depends how you feel after, if you use them or not....
Take it easy, and good luck with your surgery.
Talk to you later.

Hello Blueeyes, welcome to the club. Hope to hear more from you. My favorite pasttimes are crossword puzzling and crossstitch embroidering. Makes one wonder about me, doesn't it? My computer is my best friend, though. Lots to do and read on it and Solitaire is a lot of fun this way. Other puzzles are entertaining once in a while but I like to play at least one game of Sol before I go to bed at night.
I take it you are way up there in New England. You have had some serious snow storms this year, right? Here in California we have to drive about 90 miles just to show the children what snow and ice are. Silly, isn't it?
