Thank you, Astraea! I'm sorry it took so long to respond. The AARP site wouldn't accept my password so I just got re-instated. Actually, this momma hen sat on 13 eggs for a few weeks and none hatched so we put babies under her one night, removing the eggs, and she took the chicks as her own. So none of them are actually her own offspring. She was a very good mother and the babies are teenagers now :) There were 7 total.
