Hey Bonnie ~ It's been a long time since I've seen anything new here, hope that just means that you are a busy Lady and all is well. Take care, my friend

It's raining here today and that might be a good thing for me since I won't be able to shovel in the yard until things dry out a bit! We're working on several projects in our backyard so we might just have to find something else to work on this weekend.

Hope you are looking forward to a good weekend my friend, no matter how you spend it!

Hi Bonnie ~ We flew past Ft. Collins about 4:30 last night on our way up Rist Canyon. Have you ever been there? It's due west of La Porte and it's really pretty up there! Jim had to check on a jobsite and we don't remember ever being up that canyon before. The big surprise was that we spotted four wild turkeys! We were both very surprised because we've never seen wild turkeys in Colorado. Have you?

Hope you are having a great day!

Good to hear from you. I've never seen wild turkeys myself here but I'v hear others seeing them. Do you have your own plane? I just noticed you said you flew past, so I didn't think you meant you were speeding.(HA)just a joke. I work in LaPorte and live in ft. Collins. I work eleven hour days m-f. What kind of work does your husband do? Well you have a great evening. Sometimes I wish I had a husband to go places with but I guess theres pro's and con's

Hi Bonnie! You sound like such a friendly lady. Have you lived in Ft. Collins for long? We spent a lot of time there when our friends were in college in the mid seventies. We still drive through often and are always surprised at how fast your town has grown. The whole front range just keeps growing faster and faster every year! When my folks bought their home in 1956 this neighborhood was beyond the northern edge of Denver. I remember the closest bank was probably 10 miles south. Then Jim and I bought the house next door to my folks in 1979 and by that time there were still lots of open fields around the neighborhood. Today the city of Denver has grown up around us and we can drive almost halfway to Ft. Collins before we stop seeing housing developments, CRAZY!

I've been here in the AARP online community since May so I have lots of Colorado stories and pictures on my pages. You can click on my picture or my name and you'll wind up on my front page. And till we get a chance to meet in person we can keep in touch on these pages. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your pictures!

Have a wonderful weekend!

We own a home in the northern suburbs of Denver but my husband's work takes us out of town once in awhile. We lived in our RV in Yuma (northeast Colorado) through the month of June and before that we spent 17 mos. in Breckenridge, Frisco, Leadville, Silverthorne and Eagle while my husband wired a building in Vail.

Let me know if you need any help figuring things out around here. And drop by and visit anytime!
