Life On the Road

Been Full-time RVing for the past five years and loving it. When we started out Diesel fuel was $1.699. Look where we are now-$3.959 and still climbing. This can sure put a criink in plans. Where will it stop? We will continue our travels but maybe not quite as far or as often as we would like to. We did get our wonderful trip to Alaska three years ago. I highly recommend the trip to everyone.

Hi Ionnieo: I get confused on this journal stuff too. I haven't quite got it all figured out but I haven't been able to be on line for a couple of weeks. We managed and worked at a park in Northern Washington near the BC border. We went out there for six months and ended up staying for two years. We love it out there and I have relatives in Bellingham. Such beautiful country. We would like to go back out there next fall but with fuel prices what they are we may have to opt for other areas. We have spent the winter in FL working in an RV park. Normally we work for a six month period somewhere so we aren't on the road all the time. Our original intent was to travel across the country making stops along the way to sightsee. So much for those plans!! Oh well. We are enjoying what we are doing and meeting so many wonderful people that have become friends. That is the nice part.

Hi bevreed,
Been looking all over for you, you were on my list of friends and now your not,
this , I still get all confused about groups, journals, comments and where do the comments go that you want to keep? Just read your journal on Alaska, it
sounds beautiful, I`ve never been there and don`t suppose I ever will with the gas prices going up every week !
Where are you now? Some where warm I hope.
I miss our day`s of managing The R.V. park. It was up in north-eastern oregon.
So beautiful and quiet. When you R.V. you feel like you have your own little world with you, I always felt at home and met so many nice, happy people.
Hope this finds you well and hope to here from you when you have time.
Later, Lonnie

It is gorgeous! The highest most rugged mountains I have ever seen; wildlife along side the road; beautiful azure blue glaciers; wildflowers that are abundant everywhere and every color imaginable; waterfalls; snow; darling sea otters that seem to have a personality all their own; whales; seals; eagles; We went in the summer and had 80 degree temps but a few colder days; watched the salmon go upstream through the waterfalls; black bears; brown bears; elk; moose; buffalo; We left WA early spring and many baby animals. I could not live up there however because it is too cold. We got to talk to many of the Natives and how they do it I don't know. It is beautiful country though. A long ride. We went through Wasilla and as I recall they were doing a lot of construction and was a growing city with all the conveniences available. If you are able you should try to get up there. Keep in touch, jo

My "Baby" lives in Wasilla, AK and I have never been there. If you've a mind... could you write some about Alaska?
