I came to Washington over the July 4th weekend in 1979 with two young sons. My sons have grown and moved away. I am retired but work part-time when I can. My plan is to "age in place" where I am most comfortable, my home.

Interests:

I am active in my church (St. John's Lutheran) in Alexandria, Virginia. I'm looking forward to singing in the choir the first Sunday in September. I look forward to volunteering at the Life@50+ Event and Expo as a Roving Reporter/Internet Blogger. I must admit, this is the first time I've ever done anything like this. I'm excited and frightened at the same time. It will be fun to get my feet wet. I think I will enjoy blogging. I would like to find other senior citizens who are new to this activity. Perhaps we can learn from each other.
