About Me

My professional career was in healthcare. I started as a Medical Technologist (requiring 2 degrees: Biology and the Medical Technology) and then specialized in Transfusion Medicine. After one year of college, I joined the US Navy, for the purpose of qualifying for the GI Bill. After completing my military obligation, I returned to college in Oregon. For those looking at the states in which I lived, I was quite the gypsy, moving about every 3 years, until I settled in San Antonio. I retired in 2008 and have been kept busy with my home rennovation projects

Interests:
I have been an avid reader since childhood. Prior to retirement, I read mysteries. Since retirement, I have switched from fiction to non-fiction. Other interests include Sudoko and researching topics of interest. My professional career required me to think long term and validate everything (consider the possible unintended consequence of any change).

I do not trust someone who cannot put some info on themselves in their profile. Must be hiding something. I will dismiss any comments by you in future posts I read

You may certainly dismiss my comments, but I do not understand why my "lack of information" has much to do with anything. I have been a frequent contributor on the AARP website for over a year, so I do wonder what you need to know about me. I use my real name, instead of some self-assigned moniker, you can see that I live in San Antonio, TX. Why my past time and hobbies or professional associations (as I am retired) have to do with my POV. As I am willing to share my name, I do not provide a picture...unlike you, who use a both moniker and faux picture. I read the article, do research and state my POV relative to the argument...past that, this sounds like a boycott that has nothing to do with me as an individual. But thanks for asking!

to afisher comment: without a little more info, which is normally provided in a profile, no one has any idea where your point of view (POV) is coming from. Peoples ideas and thoughts are usually based on where they have been, what they have done and what they are doing. There is much more on my profile than just a "self-assigned moniker"
