About Me

With its great resources and strength, AARP helps our 390,000 Iowa members make their own choices, reach their goals and dreams, and make the most of life after 50. The Iowa office is committed to helping communities become more livable as we age, working with the state legislature to advocate for the rights of Iowans 50+ in the areas of consumer protection, health care reform and long-term care, and provide education and community service through our Tax-Aide and Drivers Safety programs.

Interests:
Recently, AARP unveiled Divided We Fail (www.dividedwefail.org), a national effort designed to engage the American people, elected officials and the business community to find broad-based, bi-partisan solutions to the most compelling domestic issues facing the nation?health care and the long-term financial security of Americans. In Iowa, we have had a tremendous presence with Divided We Fail during the2008 Caucuses . Look for more divided we fail activities in 2008.

I agree with Mr. Novelli. Also I wish to add: remove all CEO's, Chief Financial Officers, and all Board of Directors on the companies and corporations that are wanting a hand out and those that have gone bankrupt like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Those individual need to be replaced with others from within or without the company. Loans from the US Govern. with interest need to awarded to help those companies not a handout or dole.
