You've gone through a lot in the last couple of years. My husband died suddenly in Dec. 2003 -6 years - sometimes it seems like yesterday. Perhaps had I read that poem one year after he passed I would have felt differently. I still miss him but I harbor no hopes that we'll "meet" again - except when I dream.

I do appreciate the thought behind your post of the poem in yesterday's thread on "the jar is full." I hope you weren't offended by my rather abrupt response. I realized that things had gotten a little too personal and I didn't want to go into it further. I see a lot of similar postings in another group of mostly widows and widowers. Perhaps if I was traditionally religious the poem would be more meaningful. But I'm not. But I wanted to thank you for the thought.
