I still can hear my Dad fussing @ Don Meredith! OOOPS!! Age!! I don't keep up with Nascar as much, but having been with 76 refining and retail sales for many years, it's familiar terrain!
I really admire your compassion for the animals in the shelters, it's a shame we have any need to do anything but shelter and find good homes for these lost little souls. I'd like to know about your fund raising efforts and see if I can help.

Our local shelter is in the process now of creating a cookbook to sell, we have 2 events downtown which we give out informational material and sell shelter t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts. Every Valentines day we have a "puppy loves pasta" spaghetti dinner which is always successful. Our shelter has been forced into moving to a new locations when a railroad distribution/switching station was built next to our shelter. We are now in the process of getting funding etc to build in a new location, it was heartbreaking because a lot of time, money and efforts went into the current location. I was in Yorkie rescue for 3 years. We made and sold dog beds, doggie diapers and belly bands to raise money and every year we had a "yorktoberfest". We are always looking for new great fund raising ideas!
