Thank you Zil. Absolutely true. I feel so blessed to be among so many beautiful friends and family all around me and especially in this wonderful Let's Praise God group. I enjoy reading your in-depth posts. Again, thank you so much and may God bestow His special blessings upon you and your family this Sunday and each and every day. Wayne

Hi Wayne, My Dad is also a proud WWII Veteran and paratrooper. He was
in 13th Airborne......he tells me many stories...he was in France and
scheduled to make a jump when the Germans surrendered...he was
disappointed because his division was always waiting and no action.
After returning to US, the 13th was deactivated and he was transferred
to the 82nd. I went to many paratrooper reunions during the years... I
especially remember the DC reunion in the 80ties. My Dad turned 90 this
year...still reads "Static Line", watches "Band of
Brothers" and wears a paratrooper pin on his ballcap. I have a
picture of my Dad in my profile family picture album. Everytime I see
your profile picture...I think of my Dad. God Bless. Carol

Hi Carol. Thank you so much for this wonderful story of your dad. Please tell him that I wish him well and thank him for his dedication of service and that he made it home. My service in the 82nd was during the time period between Korea and Vietnam. We were ready to go, but not called upon. I also have two living uncles that served in WWII, one in the U.S. Army and the other in the U.S. Navy. All these brave men of WWII that Tom Brokaw writes about in his book, The Greatest Generation, are my heroes. Again, thank you so much for sharing this with me. God Bless you and your family. Wayne

Thank you Ric. Yes, I have thought about joining other goups, but you've noticed, I'm sure, that I am sometimes several days behind replying to the posts here in this group. I appreciate you thinking enough of me to ask. But, I'm so busy doing ancestry research for friends, relatives and people who contact me that I just can't find the time to get 100 percent involved. You are a dear friend and so knowledgeable of God's Word. I can't thank you enough for your consideration, but I must decline for now. God Bless, Wayne
