There’s a very ugly sniping contest going on in a forum called, of all things, "Community Help". It’s ugly enough that, after browsing the forum to see if my limited knowledge might be of use to others, I chose not to join the group and instead will continue planting my seeds of experience here, where I don’t have to tolerate any nastiness.
The subject of all the vehemence in Community Help centers around someone who had suggested that autoplay music in profiles might be annoying to those who browse those profiles. I refuse to get involved in the silliness going on there, but for those who are interested in changing their profile music to an "on demand" setting, here’s the solution:
There is a line of HTML code in your music tag that reads (in brackets),
param name="autoplay" value="true" /
By changing the value from "true" to "false" the music only starts when the visitor clicks play.
It's nice to know folks are playing nice now. Thanks for the update.
Incidentally, the issue was never about whether or not the autoplays were allowed or not; it was about the vehemence with which one member was attacked for suggesting that some folks found them annoying.
