When I was Tarzan

When I was Tarzan
Thebobo says:

Yes,you quite right.I was 19 at the time and in the British Army, seconded to the West African Frontier Force,(a united Military force of Nigeria,Ghana,Gambia and SierraLeone, All British Colony's at that time) Stationed What was known then as "The Gold Coast".(Sanders of the river Country)know known as Ghana. The only reason I was there,I took a course in Refrigeration (Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers) and training the local Army Tradesmen. The photo was taken at a small shop that sold cigarettes for a penny each,I was a heavy smoker at the time,(because I was scared to death of Snakes and the big bugs, that were knocking around),I was their best customer. One of the soldiers was passing by and took that photo.Thinking I'd gone "Native"(Looney). So I now use it saying I was selling snakes,or shrunken heads,as the mood dictates

Bobo, You suggest elsewhere that if you write "here," who reads it? Once I learned I could do "captions" as well as "titles," I made a point of always giving my photos some kind of caption. In my case, usually longer than shorter. I don't care who reads them; they're as much a part of my AARP journal for me as for others. Others seeing what I write is a bonus. I say all this verbiage because this is one very interesting photo. From your picture, "African Years," I imagine this is in Africa. I have to believe that, aside from your humorous title, there's a little story here.
