?There?s only two possibilities: Either we is the most intelligent life in the universe, or there is life out there which is more intelligent than we are. Either way, it?s a mighty sobering thought.?
Hometown(s):
?Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.? -Harry S Truman

"And now, farewell ! the fairy dream is o'er;
The tales my infancy had loved to hear,
Like blissful visions, fade and disappear.
Such tales Momonia's peasants tell no more !
Vanish'd are MERMAIDS from the sea-beat shore;
Check'd is the HEADLESS HORSEMAN's strange career;
FIR DARRIG's voice no longer mocks the ear,
Nor ROCKS bear wondrous imprints as of yore !
Such is 'the march of mind.' But did the fays
(Creatures of whim -- the gossamers of will)
In Ireland work such sorrow and such ill
As stormier spirits of our modern days?
Oh, land beloved ! no angry voice I raise;
My constant prayer -- ' May peace be with thee still !' "

Is it my imagination or has ACORN been washed off the AARP website. I have been looking for it everywhere and it just doesn't come up anymore. You've been on the site for longer than I have, so maybe you know. Wasn't ACORN a partner in Divided We Fail or some other part of the banner head? Wasn't AARP a sponsor of ACORN's town hall meeting in Dallas/Fort Worth. I am having a senior moment. Can you help me with the facts. Was ACORN visible on this web site say six months ago? Where can I find it now? Thanks. Helene0727 (my profile is on AARP and I can send you my email if you want to know more about me). Thanks again
