About Me

Currently, My Hubby of 37 years and I are enjoying life in the slow lane. Though we recently moved from Texas a part of me is still haunting the Gulf Coast of Texas (and probably at a What-A-Burger drive-thru at this moment). Personally, I love hamburgers; to me they are proof that God loves me and wants me to be happy. I am always in search of the "Perfect Hamburger" . . . a left-over passion from my college days when a Burger (or Italian Steak Sandwich) from Wimpy's was considered haute cuisine. Wimpy's is long gone, so now when I get a burger-jonz, I head to Chili's, Steak N Shake, Cheeburger-Cheeburger, Red Robin, Backyard Burgers, Bubba's, In-N-Out Burgers or What-A-Burger (depending in which part of the country I find myself).

HAMBURGERS-R-ME

As I stated on my Profile page in the "About Me" section, Hamburgers are my proof that God loves me and wants me to be happy. I have continued with a "quest" that I started way back in my college days (early 70s) of seeking out the perfect hamburger. Along the way, I have met (and devoured) some pretty good burgers. When it comes to burgers, I am an equal opportunity kind of gal: beef, turkey, pork, chicken, buffalo, elk, ostrich, black bean, tofu, portabella mushrooms, tuna, salmon - pretty much any food that can be ground, then fried or grilled and slapped on a bun, a roll, sourdough bread or some other form of carbohydrate!

I can’t imagine a world where I could not eat hamburgers. If it ever gets to that point for me, then, just pull the plug!  As a matter of fact, I have instructed a few good "burger-eating" buddies to toss in aWhat-A-Burger  or Steakburger (from Steak N Shake) just before the casket is closed at my funeral so I can have one for the road! And one last thing:  I want my tombstone to read: She had it her way!

Hey girlfriend,
Wow that was a meal you had in Mexico, goodness. Sounds like your trip was great and the weather here isn't so bad yet, but I am sure cooler than there was.
I am doing better and getting busy with some fall cleaning around here
