About Me

Not-yet-ready to retire, but taking a break from the world of work after having relocated to central Virginia. My 91-year old mother just moved into a senior citizen apartment complex about 3 miles from me. She has severe arthritis pain and balance issues and probably should NOT be living alone, but she refuses to talk about options, incuding assisted living. So my life now is summed up by trying to bring some happiness and joy into her remaining years -- she's hard of hearing but mentally fine.

Interests:

Love to cook and bake, quilt, do digital photography and am just starting to dabble as a "yardener." My thumb has never been green, but I'm trying this year to grow some herbs and a few select veggies.
