I'm an avid NASCAR fan. My husband and I plan every year where we will go to see races. Carl Edwards being my favorite driver in both Sprint and Nationwide series. Enjoy checking out various casinos. Love spending time at lakes, fishing and just enjoying the outdoors .

Winter Wonderland...

 

 

After the long length of summer and fall here in Minnesota, it was hard to get into the holiday spirit.  However, with the last couple of days of snow, the feeling of Christmas has arrived.  This time of year brings back so many wonderful memories of loved ones.  It is also the time of year where I miss those who have passed on the most.

Do you remember walking downtown and window shopping with all of the stores lined up and down main street.  That was a time when window dressings were unbelievable.  Yes, the malls are decorated with trees and bright colors, but there's something about walking outside, with the crunch of snow under foot that makes you feel warm inside.

I guess this is why I enjoy the movie "The Christmas Story" the most.  I remember so well those days.  I remember the daily battle with the furnace my father would undertake.  Supper around the table at night.  Taking off with friends for an evening of skating. 

I hope all of my online friends here have a wonderful season full of love and joy.  God Bless You All!  Thanks for being a friend!

Nascar is right around the corner, yeh ha! I am trying to get a response on Facebook, from Michael Waltrip, Matt Kenseth (he lived close by me in his hometown), and my favorite Tony Stewart, hope it goes thru sometime, have also poked Tony, will keep trying on all of them, "Gentlemen, start your engines!"
