My husband and I were just discussing the other morning gun safety because he went out and purchased himself a Glock pistol and is going to get a concealed weapons permit. Like me, you probably grew up around guns. Of course, sons were taught the art of shooting and hunting but not us girls. When I was first married to my first husband(around 18) we used to go target shooting with the .22 rifle. Back then all rural communities had a "dump" and we would sit up empty cans for our targets
