To Have Friends, First You Must be a Friend!

About Me

I am a recent widow as of 10/14/09. Was married to my second husband, Jerry, whom I loved dearly for 26+ years. My first marriage ended in divorce, but friendly. My first husband is dead also, killed by his x-wife, who committed suicide right after. So that should tell you my first marriage was _ _ _ _. I have one female chocolate lab, Cocoa & one very loving tabby cat, Sassy. Living with me are these pets & one handicapped older brother who has recently rehabilitated from a fractured right hip - learning to walk again. I work as a Program Control Analyst at a wonderful company with all the employees, I consider friends. I am a young 64 year old female that actually feels like I should be in my 40's. No children of my own (Lord knows, I tried.) I have three wonderful grown step-children who have helped me greatly & I love them dearly. My darling husband wrote a poem to me in 1998: (Roses Down To Sleep by Jerry W. Watson Today, I laid the roses down to sleep! She made my life as beautiful as a bouquet of roses With her loving, tender hands, she plucked the flowers from the thorns and added each soft, sweet petal to my life. Thank you Darling, for the roses But today, all flowers surely weep For today, I laid the roses down to sleep.) My future plans are for me & my brother to join together to do as much of the Lord's Work as possible, whatever that might be. I know we all should help each other which shares love for one another. Thank goodness for this site to voice our feelings!

Interests:
Sports: I love watching College Football, getting out & walking. I use to love to fish with my husband in our Bass Boat before he became unable to. I used to love camping, swimming & doing crafts. Gardening, working in the yard, mowing, pruning, trimming. I hope our Lord will lead me to be able to do volunteer work - I done none so far

My Journals (1)

Born in mid 40's, was an identical twin, but my twin sister died two days after we were born.  Had a happy childhood.  Was a happy teenager.  Married the first time in 1964 & divorced in 1980.  Dad died in 1980.  Married the second time to the love of my life in 1983.  Mother died in 2000.  Have for the most part, had a very happy marriage until I lost him 10/14/09 to his first love, SMOKING.  I just could not get him to stop & whenever I mentioned it, he got angry, so I keep my mouth shut about it.

So here I am today, still working (Thank Goodness).  Live in our house my husband & I bought in 1992.  Now my handicapped older brother lives with me & that's my story & I'm sticking to it.
