An Aussie/American with dual citizenship,. I'm looking forward to making AARP connections and new friends who will share their ideas and thoughts. All my life I have worked hard and just now getting the hang of what it is to relax and have 'down time'. I like it!! My grandchildren say they miss seeing me between visits so there is a great incentive right there to take more time off work.

Interests:

My work keeps me from having a lot of 'free' time but I make good use of what I have. I love reading, music, theatre productions, walking, (particular around my home town which is a little waterside town at the top end of the Chesapeake Bay) like to try new recipes, trains (especially steam), gardening and most of all....the mountains. I also like to watch a lot of sports. Used to play tennis and had an awesome tennis serve in my hey day. I attend Church regularly and also like to volunteer at different community events. I keep busy...no couch potato here! Travel is good for me, even just to get away for a long weekend. My next vacation is to tour Scotland...2 weeks including a ferry visit to the Orkney and Shetland Islands...... Anyone out there also have an interest in that trip?
