Well its been a while since I made my rounds here at AARP. It's been a half year of activity, mostly following the grandkids around to their events. Memorial Day, 4th of July has passed by already and I'm looking at Labor Day coming up. I hope all those days filled your life with good memories, as they did mine. I think more than anything we'll remember these past few weeks of record breaking heat

Good to hear from you again. We had 1 day at 111--not good! My first crop of peaches is beginning to ripen. However, the birds think they are ready now. I don't mind sharing with the birds; but, I wish they would consume an entire peach instead of taking small bites out of several. I may have time later today to put out a story about Dakota Dog and his love of fresh tomatoes. Enjoy your day

I never knew dogs enjoyed vegetables. One of my friends at work has a little Beagle that she adoringly calls "Snoopy". He gets into her garden and eats the cucumbers! As for birds and fruits, I guess thats what they mean about "eating like a bird"! My granddaughter eats like that. She takes apples from the fruit bowl and nibbles a little and leaves it where her attentions were last seen then asks for a banana next time!

Happy Almost St Patricks and Belated Valentines Day!
I'm not always great about remembering all the holidays. I think it has to do with the 12 Steps I'm doing on my addiction to Hallmark. If I had invested in the company I could have gotten some of my money back! As it is my home is packed with an eon of greeting cards, coffee cups, and uninflated balloons that are saved for random occasions! LOL

Love your new image! I've curbed my card buying--recycling old ones or making them on the computer. Helps with the budget! I do wish I had a stock of balloons on hand. I did just discover two almost filled books of 37 cent stamps--time to go to the post office to find some small ones to go with these. Take care

I am commenting on your journal addition about Dakota after you had commented on mine about the Candle. I too, would like to know more about Eskies, I have some dog books, but would like to see a picture. I presently have a Shelti, she is my second one. I lost my first Sheltie on my 40th birthday, a horrible freak accident. Then in 1997, my husband bought me another Sheltie for my birthday. She is the sweetest dog and oh so smart. I can tell she misses my husband, she sticks to me like glue now. You must surely be angel.

Hi,

Here is a link to the place where I got Nyo. It has pictures and some info on the breed. I will probably write more about Dakota later today. Sorry about the loss of your first dog. We feel so responsible for them, don't we? http://www.heartbandits.com/
