Born on December 31, 1950.  It was a cold day and did I shiver in the cold.

.

I was born near the famous Chef Paul Prudomme in Opelousas,  Dec 31, 1950.   -   Eating Crawfish every month in this Video ~ Born with Fire Works and also raised in Louisiana smack in the middle of Cajuns..

.

~  Married for 39 ( Very Long ) years, two kids, five grand-kids.  ~   I grew up fishing and hunting going into the Atchafalaya Basin swamps at night, hunting coons (raccoons).

.

~  Then climbing up the tree where the coon was hanging on a limb to get away from the dogs to shake them out on the ground to fight with the black and tan hounds.

Dear FCC,

Re: AT&T and DADA; Case 00078424 ; 9:20 P.M. , CST, Sunday May 4, 2008

.

Why did AT&T with DADA load a website, freeringtoneforyou.com then charge $9.95 to my Cell Phone bill?

.

I am filing a complaint against AT&T for allowing DADA to add a charge of $9.99 per month through text messaging to my AT&T Cell Phone - 225-620-4035.  Below is a copy of the complaint letter details.

.

AT&T with DADA.net placed a subtle ad for a "Free RingTone" with this site ( freeringtoneforyou.com ) loading in the process.  You can load the following links in your browser and follow them in the following order to view the process.

.

If you need more details please call 225-620-4035 at anytime.

* Letter Details *

Dear AT&T and Dada.net,

.

Your company in concert with Dada.net from Italy, has a very slick Ring Tone $9.99 add on.  Send the contact info for a Louisiana customer to complain to the Louisiana Public Service Commission, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and any other governmental agency to forward the details of my complaint.

I will publish all the details on several websites including AARP, my high school plus news-media forums.  You "shysters in New York think you have been with some made people" but we shall see if the USA public will become educated about AT&T.

I had a little more time to think and to ask questions. Below is my thoughts on Matthew 16:17-18 and a couple of those who think as I do, for those who are interested.

Matthew 16:18 seems to refers to Peter as the rock. I know that Dut.32:1-4 shows that the rock is God and Christ is the chief cornerstone.

How would one attempt to convince others that the "this" after the identification of Peter, is not what the sentence is referring to. Peter is not the rock.

That being referred to is the process of being born again or revealed from on high is the fact / essence of the thought, and it can only come from God and this is the "this" that Christ is referring to...the fact that man has nothing to do with his salvation... this fact through and because of God is the "rock" (bedrock) that Christ founded the church upon and Christ being the chief cornerstone of the foundation of the same church.

Then, in vs. 19, Christ gives trusteeship to Peter by saying He is giving him (Peter) the keys of the kingdom of heaven...to me the keys are referring  back to the same process, "born from on high by the Spirit of Go! d", given a measure of faith to help do battle with evil, and belief in Christ that He is our Savior(these are the keys)..Am I wrong? Do I need more spiritual guidance? Anyone?

1st answer:

Peter knew who Christ was -not by flesh and blood, but by revelation given of God. Upon this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall prevail against it.

The Bible is also the written revealed word of God and you can stand on it. And it will stand when the world is on fire.

2nd answer:

I believe you now have the truth of Matthew 16:18 which reads: "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." The grammar of the context is plain that the church was not built upon Peter as the Catholics assert. Peter was not the Pope of the church. The church was built upon Christ Jesus Himself.

.

This is what Jesus is teaching Peter and the other apostles. As concerning on whom the church would be built, Jesus laid down the pertinent and precise context in verse 13 and again in verse 15 when He spoke to the apostles, "He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?" Jesus asked them, "Do you apostles know who I AM?" "And Simon Peter answered and said, THOU art the Christ, the Son of the living God." (Matthew 16:15-16). Then, in verse 17, Jesus told Peter who had revealed this truth to him, "My Father which is in heaven." 1. Verse 18 then follows where Jesus is teaching the apostles on WHOM the church would be built--i.e., on Christ, the SOLID ROCK--NOT on Peter, the small, insignificant, easily movable, rolling, unstable pebble and oft-stumbling rock..

.

The context of these verses plainly teaches this very truth without having to do specific word study on the phrases "thou art Peter" and "upon this rock." Nevertheless, a study of the underlying Greek words from the Textus Receptus teaches this very same truth. The name "Peter" is translated from the Greek "petros", which is used as a small piece of a rock or a mere rolling pebble, a bowed-down or an insignificant and easily moved hollow rock. "THOU" (that is to say "you over there") -- thou art Peter (Petros). "And, upon THIS" ("THIS" in contrast to the "THOU", the "over-there" Peter)--and UPON THIS ROCK ("PETRA") I will build MY church -- not upon "PETROS" (Peter), but upon "PETRA,"-- UPON CHRIST, certainly not upon Peter, the insignificant rolling pebble.

.

The Greek word "PETRA" refers to a large rock, a massive rock, a solid stone, unmovable, a rock not-easily moved. Peter was "petros," and Christ was/is "PETRA." Christ's church was not built upon the Apostle Peter, the variable one who at a later time would deny (denied even three times) knowing Christ, the very Son of God. Peter was but a small, weak, rolling, movable, pebble, an unstable and variable rock. Who would want the Lord's church built upon such?

Jesus built His church upon HIMSELF, the PETRA, the solid, unmovable, unchangeable ROCK of AGES, and upon Truth's revelation of HIM from the Father in Heaven.

THIS ROCK is none other than "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." (Hebrews 13:8).

"[He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he." (Deuteronomy 32:4). -- A great contrast from that character of Peter's, the petros.

Hope this helps,

"My father had skin like leather
Hands like steel
From a lifetime spent in a cotton field
And though he’d come home tired and dirty almost every night
He found the strength to smile at me and hold my mama tight
While that ole’ transistor radio would play the Opry out in the hall
I’d sit and watch those two shadows glide over the wall.

The Civil War of 1865 has become a great interest in the last 5 years after reading about William Tecumseh Sherman - leaving his employment at President of LSU in Louisiana and becoming a Union General - then using the "Scorched Earth Policy" to burn the South from Tenn to the Atlantic ocean at Georgia ( The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down ).

.

Then we found out Ole’ GrandPa Adams way back there in 1861 joined the Georgia 7th Regiment Confederate Army and was wounded and captured two times.  After the Civil War he left the Georgia Peaches - as it was burned and destroyed and moved West until he came to the fork of the Mississippi River and the Atchafalaya River and stopped there - forever until he died.

"I am not sure why the 60s brought about such an awareness or search for awareness. "

By clicking <Flower power> we read bout the slogan used by hippies (aka Flower Children) during the late 1960s and early 1970s as a symbol of the non-violence ideology.  Flower power about 67’ in Calif and Woodstock, New York, a town from which the 1969 festival took its name, although the festival was not staged there  and we had a mini Woodstock in 71.
.
In June 1971, <McCrea> was the site of a sort of "Mini-Woodstock" rock festival.

.

Here on the Atchafalaya River near McCrea, Louisiana there were a few thousand naked young people smoking some wacky weed and listening to rock music.  A few drowned trying to swim in the most treacherous swift river in the USA.

.

That was my first experience with the "search for awareness" and lonely people who tried everything to find some comfort and love.  There seems to be a lotta lonely folks in the world.
