My Journals (4)

I don't think I have ever experienced quite a month like March 2009 and it is not even half way done yet.  To begin with, Barbie and I turned 50 years old this month.  I don't know if it bothers Barbie to turn 50, but I don't mind it at all.  As my daughter puts it "Once you turn 21, the next age you look forward to is 50 when you can join AARP."  She turned 30 this year.  The second thing to happen this month is that I found out I have to have surgery on St. Patrick's Day.  Hope they put in me in a green hospital gown, so I don't get pinched. I have been wanting some time off from work.  As they say, "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."  I will be off work for at least six weeks.  Guess I should have been more specific about how I wanted time off from work.  Think I would have enjoyed my time off more if I wasn't recovering from surgery.  Well, this may be my last journal for awhile.  Don't worry though, I will return.  *smiles*

My time here has been so enjoyable.  I can see me staying here for the long stay.  I have met some wonderful and interesting people.  The groups I have joined are filled with people who have a passion for things that interest me.  I like to post, but I don't want to overpower any group with my posts.  It is sometimes hard to find a happy medium.  My hubby, Darrel, is enjoying my membership as much as I am, if not more.  We both love helping people, sharing what we know, and learning new things from others.  It is so exciting to come here and see new posts and messages.  I am so glad I found this place. *smiles*

Okay, first, don't think I will be doing this everyday.  I don't do anything in my life everyday.  *smiles*  I am just excited about being here.  So I had to check to see if anyone said hello.  Was I surprised?!!  What a wonderful group of people!  Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I have done 80% of my profile.  Which is really a lot for me.  I am naturally a lazy person.  The reason why I am always busy is so that I can take time to be lazy *smiles*  That doesn't always work out as I would like it to work out, but I keep trying. *smiles*

Yes, I smile a lot.  I do it in real life too.  Why?!  Just confuses people like crazy when you are always smiling. *smiles*  Besides, I live on the positive side of life.  No need to live on the negative side, enough people are trying to pull you over there anyways.

Remember, the day you don't learn something is the day you die.  Hope you learn something today. *smiles*

Today is the first day as a member of AARP.  I am overwhelmed by all the information they want in the profile and all the different things on this site.  I am sure I will get use to it, but not today. *smiles*
