This is really called Yellow Brick Road, but I call it Flannel Brick Road because it's all flannel materials. This is going to George's cousin and wife to be for their wedding in September.
I love this one...all flannel...sounds so cozy and warm for winter nights! I'm glad it's staying in your family!
Would this make a good one for fleece, too, do you think? It could be lined and quilted in-the-ditch, or maybe left as just a quilt-face and used as a reversible blanket!
Is this one difficult to do? I see lots of squares, and then...rectangles? This would be fun to do, but I'm not sure a beginner should tackle the assembling!?
It's a shame they changed their mind but you have a wonderful positive attitude about it, one's loss is another's gain. That's so true! Nothing can take away from it's beauty especially for those who know what went into making it.
The top I made in about 10 days. Someone asked me to make it for them and they wanted it soon, so I worked a lot on it. Then, they changed their mind, so now it's going to a cousin. One's loss is another's gain.
Beautiful! I hope they can appreciate all that goes into making one of these. Do you have any idea about how long it takes you to make one quilt. I know it depends on many things, mainly interruptions and tiredness, (~_~) but I was just curious.
