Hi Friends
I live in Miami and I am a solo long distance caregiver for my invalid parents, who still live in our Chicago house. I manage a round-the-clock caregiving staff, consult with medical professionals, handle all money matters, and arrange for household maintenance. I have been doing this for three years since my Mom had a stroke and my Dad began to decline by her side. Importantly, they were both independant and driving before my Moms stroke and they are 95 and 93.
They are in hospice and I planned their funerals last summer.
I am writing a book about solo long distance caregiving so that I can help others who walk in my shoes.
