A "Cool" Sunday

Sunday was a "cool" day... not weather wise cool, but just a "cool" day.  I didn’t do too much mostly talked on the phone with my daughter.  Lately, we have been talking alot about movies; we are movie people.  I told her that when I use pay-per-view that I equate it with a $10.00 trip to the movies, so I can watch two new releases.  She likes my thinking, so she and her hubby had a two movie night too.  When I called her to compare notes, I told her that I had ordered "Charlie Wilson’s War," but that I slept through the entire movie.  When I thought I had time to watch it again, I only had 21 minutes left.  I could have kicked myself.  She told me that I could have watched it because no matter how many minutes I have left, as long as I activated it before the last possible minute, I could have watched it again.  Now I almost know how to navigate "On Demand."  Really, I thought that Comcast sent me a brochure so that I could be able to learn how to use some of the operations I pay for but do not use too often; then, I noticed that it was for "Current Resident"  go ahead hurt my feelings.  But, it is good to know that "Big Brother" isn’t that vigilent.

After the kids eat a good lunch, my young grandson went home, and my guest started to study again, so I was left to my own devises.  I ordered another movie... when I saw Diane Keaton’s name pop up, I was on.  I watched "Mama’s Boy" it was kinda cute.  At least I didn’t sleep through it.  My daughter told me that she and her hubby slept through "The Orphange,"  the mother talked so fast in Spanish so the dubbing had to keep up too.  She was speed reading until she went to sleep.  I decided that I want to be really lucid when I purchased it.  I have not reached my budget limit; I have two more movies to purchase.

During the morning, I went swimming with my weekend guests... my international student, guest, and my twelve year old grandson.  I donned my big straw hat and sunglasses because I do not put my head into the water.  I made the mistake of not having fun because I went to "work out" that was not "cool."  I sent twenty minutes walking and running back and forth in the water doing as many laps as I can within my self prescribed twenty minutes.  As I made the laps I watched the clock and listened to "Busame Mucho" and a few other oldies that I can relate to. You know, I sang my head off as loudly as I could as I walked or ran through the water taking up the entire pool.  The youngsters sat on the edge and watched me do my "work out."  When I had completed my "work out,"  I left, so the youngsters had the pool to themselves.  I walked by home and started lunch.

I am still feeling a little tense, but I am trying to work through this little anxiety I am experiencing.

All in all, Sunday was a "cool" day.
