Merry Christmas Everyone!
I've recently accepted a 4 month
assignment at the University of San Diego (UCSD) in the School of
Medicine
in La Jolla, CA. It's
a commute, but everything else is right on !
I will be supporting the Director
of Graduate Affairs in
the Biomedical Science Department.
They are in their "recruiting
season" and will accept 75 (MD and PhD)candidates
out of 300 plus applications.
These people have already gone to school for 4 - 6 years and are
preparing for 5-7 more years to begin in the Fall of 09.
It's fascinating to see the
current class in their white coats and to meet some of the
best brains in the country!
I will be closer to my dream job
than ever before and each person I come in contact with may be
able to help me.
They've already said after they've
seen what I can do in two days...they'd like to keep me, but the
budgets will tell the story in March when we are finished choosing
our candidates. The mountains of paperwork that goes into each
person's file is incredible. I'm also getting to use my Medical
Terminology and possibly my transcription skills too.
Wanted to thank all of you for
your prayers, love and support. It really feels great to have
so many incredible people in my life.
I am truly Blessed!
Love to all,
Kat/Kathryn
