I am a 51 year old female who is independent, strong, loving and caring. I am the mother of two wonderful children and grandmother of four beautiful kids. I had my own Insurance Agency and currently I am enjoying life while retired. I was diagnosed with MS and Addisons Disease in May, 1986. It was extremely progressive. I have been wheel chair bound since then. I have everything from an illeal conduit to a traech. However two months ago I found I could bear weight on my legs. I then concentrated on getting stronger, watched my 8 month old granddaughter learn to walk and now I can walk almost 1 block before tiring. I attribute this to God, a little glass of wine and an always positive attitude! I just had the traech removed and I've cut my medication list in half. PBS is doing a documentary on my life and I am very excited to share this news with the world!
