Dear Mr. President;
I wrote your wife over 6 months ago and
begged for her assistance concerning my ordeal with the Veterans
Administration. I did not receive a reply from her so I must add
her to the list of government officials and civilians that have
completely abandon me. My question is how many government workers
and civilians must I beg to help me when incompetence played a
crucial part in the decision making?
I am now forced to live in a 1972
Winnebago and all that I had and once owned is no more. I have
begged all my Congressmen and Senators in the State of California
for help and every one of them put me off or told me about
tradition or simply they just did not care. I wrote many other
like Sheila Jackson Lee from Texas, Steve Israel from New York,
Peter Welch from Vermont, Lloyd Doggett from Texas, Steve Buyer
from Indiana, and I can go on and on from Bush to McCain and the
Clintons. I have written foundations and even the King of Saudi
Arabia and Kuwait.
Not one human being even offered me a
dollar to buy a sandwich. If I did something stupid they would put
over one thousand bullets in my body and find every charge could
be found to insure I was the worst human in the history of the
United States. I have been around long enough to know that our
government can be very corrupted.
Sir, I know you have your hands full
and I can’t at this point take another rejection from my
leaders but what I would remind you there is no greater gift than
a person that is willing to put his or her life on the line for
there country. So I would ask that you and the Secretary of
Veterans Affairs tour the Regional Centers and let them all know
how serious you are about the care and welfare of this nation
Veterans. I am sorry to say that you will have to fire some people
to make it very clear that the workers will be accountable for
there actions. The centers were moving a bit when you and the new
Secretary of Veterans Affairs came in but everything is now back
to normal.
You should request and demand a
temporary ten-cent federal gas tax not for payroll but to get
these Veterans taken care of. My request and appeal to you is
because what they have done to me. I am so angry and hurt that
after I was told to file a brief and now I receive a letter that
they want another extension. How dare they play with peoples
lives. The problem is that you have government clerks and
attorneys that have been in these cushion jobs for years and there
is no due process and no feelings involved. They will make, find
and delay with no regard to the situation of the soldier. The
Bible speaks of the last day where people’s hearts will grow
cold and after writing and begging for help from well over one
hundred people I would have been better off to shoot myself in the
head. Who would care?
I will not ask you nor I need a reply
but I will send you a copy of my brief so you will see that from
2003 to now how I have been treated. From losing my records to
just plain lying I have been through it all. I am now homeless and
I’m trying to send my son back to his mother but he does not
want to go. He has been with me for over four years and things are
very, very hard right now. My government, friends and now my
family have abandoned me.
I would also ask that all of my
representatives in California receive a letter or verbal
reprimand. Not one of them followed
up and asked if I was getting the help I needed from my local
Congressman. I begged for help from them because I found out that
my letters and files that were sent to them were being shredded. I
have copies of all of the letters that they sent and the way they
fixed my problem was to put me off to someone else and hope I go
away. If I write another congressman outside my area there should
be a follow-up system to insure I get the support I need. It is
only a Congressional courtesy and tradition not a fact of law that
if I ask for help outside my district that they should not be of
the hook. They still have a responsibility to act regardless.
My family has a long history of serving
our country my last uncle died about a year ago. I am the only one
who served twenty years in the US Army. You are my last hope so
please help me.
Please take care of our Veterans Mr.
President.

PS: I will keep you in prayer because I
know most of our leaders are only concerned about self. They will
act like they care just like Jesse Jackson. If there is a photo
opt they will be there. They all
allowed Bush to steal billions of dollars for this country and
they all hid and now you are president they are running around
like a pack of wolves waiting for you to make a mistake. I say you
should have them all investigated.
