Newly retired 2/1/2009 from working 44 years in the business world as clerical and administrative assistant. I've been married for 35 years and have a 29 year old son

Interests:

I enjoy bicycling and walking in the nice weather; reading and crafting are my relaxations; also love chatting with friends and family via emails and AIM and keeping up with each other if I can't in person. Have found a new passion now that I have time to devote to it - taking up writing short stories and some poems and joined a Creative Writing Workshop of published & not yet published authors to share ideas, experiences, friendship and critiquing

People have asked what I look like -- Only current picture I have of me that I can post here --- have to get with this digital world. Hubby just bought a "Digital Cameras for Dummys" book so we can learn all about this. I'll have to learn to convert old photos we have w/new converter I bought so we can get them onto our PC's.

I'm starting to write up our family's ancestry from my Mom's memories and old photos. It should be an interesting project for us to work on together. Then I'm passing it down to my son who can pass it along to his family, etc. Right now he's a single guy of 29 but in a relationship with a great gal, Nicole. They're a really cute couple and are so happy.

I've always really wanted to know my heritage from way back and now's a good time. Mom is about the only one left in her family and my Dad's who remembers still so much of it at age 89. She's looking forward to this process.

I'm hoping to add on to this journal of my progress with this very important family project.
