Hi all, With God's blessing I will be 20 years clean this October. I've read some folk don't suffer the ravages of substance abuse until retirement. My answer to that statement is some of us just like to get an early start on our addictions! But seriously, if you find yourself living for the next drink or pill, reach out and at least contact us in the safety of internet posting from the comfort of your home. Many of us have walked the walk and encourage you to let us lend a hand! God bless, Dawn

Hi Jan,
Thank you for your creation of this group forum.
As I read the posts here, I see that there are alot of wonderful people and so much honesty here.
You have done a great service in allowing people to come to terms with themselves and vent to others.
I am a medical professional, and curiosity landed me upon your group here.
To all of you posters....God Bless All of You and Your Roads Yet To be Conquered!
A big "thank you" to Jan for doing what you do so well!

My name is Linda and I receive messages from you at my yahoo personal mail site. A little flag comes on the bottom of my screen and tells me I have a message from you in my personal e-mail. I click it open and there is a link that takes me to your profile. Then I search around different pages on this site until I find your latest comments. I'm narrowing things down a bit in a short period of time. :)

4 hellos later - Thank you - glad to be here. Is there a chat room, for future reference? It's 6:30'ish A.M. on the west coast here and I'm about to fall out.

I'm still unclear. I just look at the "messages" at the top of my page near the "Hello Jan" line (don't know your name). You can also post a topic under "group forum"
