I am a survivor
The dr's are changing my meds, so sleep comes after long periods of quiet awakefulness. Last night, during one of our visits, I was just taking to Him about what a survivor He has helped me be. Then I started a list. I am going to attempt to recreate that list:
I am a survivor:
of a close call aborted abortion.
of a botched adoption.
of an abusive childhood.
of the loss of my first born son.
of 3 misscarriages and 3 live births.
of 2 teenage boys, one of whom is ADHD.
of the adoption of a teenage GIRL.
of uteran cancer.
of suicidal depression
of a husband who went through serious emotional changes during mid-life crisis.
of raising a grandson from birth to 4 for a prodical son who has yet to turn his head back.
because my Father leads me by the hand, when I give it to him.
in the midst of this harsh world.
who is looking forward to the future.
who is learning to remember the past, not relive it.
who will never be denied a hand to hold.
will survive to do God's will in spite of all Satan's attempts
will survive this world, building my character for His world.
