Life After 60

This will be my 2nd attemped to log this Journal. I was almost done when Vista decided to do an upload! Did it ask my permission? No!!! Who am I? I thought this Computor was mine, but, I guess not! All that ' Peck & Poke ' for nothing. My train of thought on my prior Rantings is lost so I will Rant about this. Philosophise: How often do we feel that that the Machines we create , control us, and not the other way around! These Labor Savers take more of our time than we envisioned. Computors were to do away with paper! With it's cousin, the Scanner/Printer , we use more than ever! Now, with all this 'Inter-connectibility, we don't even go on Vacation with out it hounding us to 'Call Home! Now!!!',or 'Call Mom!', ect.,ect. ect.. It even tracts our every move with G.P.S. so ""They"" know where you are at all times. And they call this, "The Good Life!!!"???. What ever happened to "Privacy"?? What ever happened to "Time Off"?? It seems this Modern Life is not all it is cracked up to be. Take time to "Smell The Roses", and leave the Cell Phone at home!  Art/Hollowwood

While I'll be gosh l be darn. it isn't just me. I have written just about a book in one of these little comment boxes, and I don't know what key I accidentally hit, but my work is gone in a flash, and I can't find it any where. Thanks for the comments I feel redeemed so how. Karean

I thought I was the only one having problems with pictures. I was looking at graduation pictures when my computer went down. Got it back and the pictures were gone. Had to see them in my son's journal on this site. At least I'm not alone. Later KM

I've often wondered where those 318 photos, we took in Greece, ended up. I did all I was supposed to do, hooked the camera to the computer, clicked hither, tither and yon and lost 318 photos. I didn't even get to see the first one. Boy, did I get the reds (Texan for mad!). THEY ARE OUT TO GET US AND ARE WINNING!

I too have the Vista operating system, and my computer seems to do something that Internet Explorer doesn't like. So that shuts down on a regular basis.
