A Solitary Single Gives Thanks !

I live Alone! I live in a falling apart 50 year old camp. No running water. Pipes froze and much excavating and plumbing to fix. Maybe Spring! No one shares my Home or Bed. No one ever has!!! Yet, I am Thankfull! I am 10+ lbs overweight, so I must be eating on a regular basis. Many others do Not! I am warm though it falls below freezing outside. Many others are not so fortunate! The roof on this camp is weak but holds back the rain. Others have no roof over their head. The rains can soak then to the bone! I have Family close at hand. They may not understand who and what I am but will be there if I need them. I have people who I call Friends. They are On-Line and Off. Many others do not! I have my Health! I take no Prescriptions and have no present need for medical help. Very many others at my age can not say that. In this day of Gimmy Gimmy, it is easy to think of what you don’t have. On this Day Of Thanksgiving, might you add up the things you have that so many other Do Not! There but for the Grace Of God, Goes You. I would take the time to Thank Him! I Did!   Art

It is a kind and loving soul that can give thanks for the simple life, it doesn't take material things to make one happy, health is a blessing so are good friends, thank you for giving thanks and knowing no matter how much or how little we have, ~ there are things that are far greater than what most would consider a good lifestyle, I myself would personally have nothing to have health and feel loved and know that I can give and share what I do have. Thank you for your special thanks! You have so much more than you speak of ~ I have been reading your journals, you are a deep thinker, you see more than the average person does. That is a special gift, use it well and keep sharing. There are those of us out side your camp that are still growing and learning. Your friend with thanks....RaeDi Yes

"There but by the Grace of God go I." I have said that so many times over my lifetime. No matter how sick I get or the trails I have been through or will go through, all I have to do is look around and see how very fortunate I truly have been blessed

John Bradford's words, "There but by the grace of God go I", is Often on my Mind and Always in my Heart! Especially with the constant reminder provided by those whom I serve... I don't know WHY GOD has chosen to Bless Rosie and I-- should say Protect us-- It is beyond my understanding! Other than KNOWING The TRUTH of those words... Knowing that we have Much to be THANKFUL!

So very well spoken, Brother! Too many folks focus on what they don't have or can't do and they forget that every breath, every heartbeat is a gift. I'm thankful for friends like you!
