Laughter is the Best Medicine Readers Digest I enjoy life even though I'm 74, dissabled and use oxygen 24/7 since Dec. 07. A new experience that took a lot of getting used to. Presently living w my daughter but plan to be moving out soon. I have never lived alone and I am anxious, I'm sure I will enjoy at least part of it. Like most people I have good and bad days. Was married 40 yrs, widowed 15 yrs. we have 5 children, 5 grandchildren and so far 4 great grandsons. Was a stay at home Mom and homemaker who loved it. Worked as a NA in a nursing home for a short time later in life. I got realy sick some time ago and my children made me leave my home. With loving care, patience and good doctors I got much better. For a long time I did not think I would. Kinda surpprised and grateful to be where I am today. I believe life is to be enjoyed and as long there are things of interest to learn and/or things of beauty to see and/or things to do that make you feel good physicaly, mental, emotionaly and/or fills your heart with joy then you are living. That is my moto, what I've lived by for many years. I got it from Reader's Digest ofcourse. : ) Don't remember just when I wrote that first profile but I moved into my apartment four weeks ago today. I like living here, it's not bad living alone, just wish I had more energy to do all the things I'd like to do. I have Scleroderma, an immune deficiency disease, and it depletes my energy. Have met a lot of nice people here I hope to get to know better. Till next time. gjsc

I finally learned to use a computer over a year ago and realy enjoy it, email, memoirs, a journal and surfing the net. Guess that's what it's called. I am interested in nearly everything and find beauty all around. I like coffee and conversation, eating out, window shopping, listening to live music, poetry readings, museums and just about anything I am capable of doing now.
