We thought that she was a cockatoo as defined by where I bought her. She was just a wee thing that could fit in the palm of my hand when we got her. This was years ago and I found her at Northwest Seed and Insecticide out in Trent in the Spokane Valley. She cost $5.
I got her home and put her down on the carpet in the TV room and she immediately squiggled and thus her name. She was a dear thing and very loving. We were visiting a friend and we were not aware that she had gone into her first heat and she had a very quick romance with a little poodle which resulted in 3 puppies, Lord Plushbottom (Lord), Lady Priscilla (Prissy) and Monsieur Veuve Clicquot (Champagne since he was the colour of the wine) I do so miss her and the puppers though they have been gone these many years.
Just tonight I was talking to my partner about our need for another fur person. The shelters here in the Portland area are overwhelmed with animals and too few staff to care for them. I think we will be off to the SPCA pound in north Portland in the next few days to add a new member to our family.
Pets are great for relieving depression which is becoming a major problem with me
