I am going to tell you a true story of a little boy who never knew
a stranger. His heart was full of love for everyone. He never
caused his parents problems, his heart was tender for the
underdog. He had Christ like qualities at a very young age.
As a teen ager he was the most obedient son. He would not
go against the rules set at home.
His friends were driving nice new cars to school, while he
drove what we called his 'character car.' Not a very pretty
one at that. But, he never asked for anything better. He
accepted things without complaining.
He chose to work through high school. One time he was
serving at a local upscale Hotel, and a candle fell over
and caught the table cloth on fire. He calmly and quietly
put the fire out, and went about his duties.
He showed his true character in everything he did.
This young man grew into a man who has become a
husband and father of three sons. His goal is not to
raise them as he was raised, but to raise them the
way he feels best for his sons. He knows each one
is an individual and spends time with them on a one
on one basis.
I believe that little boy who brought so much joy and
pride to his parents will be a great father who will
look back some day and say, just like most of us,
"I did what I thought was best for my children."
These sons of his are good boys. I pray they take
after their father.

This is an example of our Heavenly Father. He
gives us things to work out His character in us.
May He look at His children someday and say,
"I did what I thought was best for my children."
