This little boy, about 2 years old, tested positive for Cat AIDS (FIV) which is not transfered to humans. He will probably live quite a few years as long as we keep a very watchful eye on his health.
In this photo he is just drying off from having a chemical bath to rid him of mites. Mites are normally shed by healthy cats. His weakened immune system can't do that so we'll have him bathed with soap-medication on a regular basis. With the mites gone he won't scratch, he won't have skin lesions, thus reducing the chance for infections That's how we have to watch his health: Eliminate the little issues to prevent bigger and dangerous ones.
In some ways Jasper acts a lot like a dog. He growls when he hears an odd sound. He wags his tail when he's happy. He follows me around like a puppy. He doesn't meow... he chortles. He's a delightful cat, one that goes deeper into my heart with every passing day.
Hi Lady Fiddler
I love your Jasper kitty
I had a Siamese cat she was about 15 when we had her put to sleep, her name was Mia Ling a very smart and faithful breed sandy5
as of today Im bottle feeding 3 baby orphan kittys, the mom was hit by a car :-(
Oh...there is NOTHING like a SIAMESE!!! When I was a teen, my mom and I went to a cat show. A half-grown kitten caught our eye and insisted on our attention. She reached out of her cage all the way up to her shoulder, beckoning, and called us back over and over. We were able to purchase her for $25...a lot for that time, and for us! We never, never regretted it! What a joy she was...so creatively innovative, so loving, so conversational, and so in control of all other pets. From then on, we always had at least one...and each entirely different from all the others!
I hope I will have one again! The strays we've had since I left home are just regular cats...cute, fun, but NOT all the rest! :)
