As much as I want to see a public option to force competition, this segment about Medicare fraud and the governments inability to manage programs scares me.
Well they may have stopped but indications are that they started again as of at least July of this year. I think our president realizes how important this is when trying to sell more government involvement. How about we start making this kind of thing a capital offense. You just walk into the phony office and execute everyone and walk out? Yeah I know.....!
Several years ago the government stopped prosecuting Medicare fraud, because the courts were backed up for 3 years. So instead of getting more judges, or have the judges work a normal (8 hour-day), they decided to put a moraturium on prosecutions. I can just hear the crooks cheering. They must be just thrilled to hear how simple and uninvestigated the Medicare Program really is . . .
Thanks for the update,
Carol :-)
