About Me

I couldn't wait to turn 50 to be able to join AARP! I am embracing growing older!! I only wish more people offered "senior" discounts beginning at age 50. I'm a single lady hoping God will someday bless me with a wonderful gentleman to enjoy my last years with. In the meantime I keep busy with a full-time day job and caring for my 6 year old granddaughter in the evening and weekends. That would be my full-time night job!!! If your grandchildren live with you or you have walked in those shoes at one time, please e-mail me. I need all the encouragement I can get!!!

Interests:
Right now I don't have much spare time to do anything other than activities a 6 year old enjoys!! That is ok though. Even on the days when I am so tired, I realize what a blessing it is to watch my precious granddaughter grow up! I cherish my relationship with her. I love to garden and have a few plants. Living in Houston it is a challenge to keep them alive through the heat of the summer. I would love to travel the US in an RV, learn to fly an airplane and learn to play golf. For now I very much enjoy watching Tiger play on TV. My 27 year old son and I have been following his career since his first professional tournament in Milwaukee in 1996. Enjoying Tiger's success is great! Having that interest in common with my son is the best!!!

Gaye: I'm up I45 in Huntsville. A friend of mine had her son a month after I had mine. (1982) We didn't really close, though, until after her divorce and my husband died in 1998. Since our church had no singles group we've searched the Lutheran churches from here to Houston. I show on one of your posts you were looking for a Christian singles group. Maybe betwee the 3 of us we can find one!
