Roping A Deer...Set and almost ready to go
(3-12-2008) Went into the local park woods this past weekend to check out the ground for morel hunting. I’m needing the air tempture to be in the 60’s - 70’s to find them. It was a nice brisk walk and when I got to the creek at the bottom of the hill, I was wishing I had my fishing pole with me. I just got my fishing license and State park pass and some new lures. I just can’t wait, now if this snow and cold would just go away! So I’m set and almost ready to go.

we made it to that hidden lake. Didn't get out of the car to look at it because of a big german shepperd dog tied to the back of a house. That dog was there for a reason and I wasn't about to find out why.

Everytime it pops on my radar, the fish truck was at Southern States the previous week. They don't have a real schedule for when it'll be there so eventually I'll figure out the schedule...but I did go fishing yesterday and used a small minnow rather than my large rattletrap and started catching some small bluegill...haven't seen a catfish in years though...but the drought doesn't appear to have done too much damage.

One day comming home from work I looked to the side into the woods at the growth (because of mushroom season). I found a hidden lake. I got on google earth to check out the view of the lake from the air,nice lake. There is some near by homes that we'll ask about the lake. Beings that it is and unknown lake we'll have to watch out for water snakes. We have one deadly one that I know of in this area. Tommorrow will be and adventure for us.

I went out to my pond about a week ago (In Northern VA) - weather was so bad with lack of rain last year I'm wondering if I've still got fish! Might be time to restock it since the water level is back up.
